How does a Lumineux SMART Panel work?
The SMART Panel delivers the light needed to be comfortable and able to work effectively.
It’s ON, only when necessary, sensitive to presence and tuned to the ambient light and OFF when there is no one there.
Each SMART Panel combines the capabilities of a Motion Sensor, Infrared Transmitter, Infrared Receiver and Ambient Light Sensor. These components allow the fitting to make intelligent lighting adjustments based on the presence or absence of people in the close proximity.
Each fitting pings out information to its neighbours, which enables the neighbours to make informed lighting decisions. Like ripples in a pond, the status of each fitting is passed across the ceiling. The fittings work as individuals and using their distributed intelligence, co-operate to form a cohesive group in any defined space. The occupancy and light level monitoring is constantly adjusting the setting of the fitting to meet the needs of the occupants perfectly.
